NATIONAL TROUT FESTIVAL® YOUTH PARADE FRIDAY, APRIL 25th, 2008
Rules and Information
Formation Time: from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm Judging: begins at 1:45 pm Parade Starting Time: 2 pm Parade Theme: "Troutin’ Around the World"
Report upon your arrival to the registration tables at the Senior Center on Cherry Street. You will be issued your parade line-up number.
The parade route will begin on Cherry Street, proceed to Fifth Street, then to US 131, down US 131 to Third Street, then return to the Senior Center on Cherry Street.
MAXIMUM HEIGHT of the Floats and displayed entries may not exceed 13 feet 6 inches.
Remember these safety regulations:
- No flowers, candy, samples, or anything whatsoever may be thrown out or passed out from any unit. (Excited children could be trampled or pushed under vehicles)
- No riders are permitted to leave their formation to shake hands or mingle with the crowd along the parade route.
- Marchers are not permitted to leave their formation to shake hands or mingle with the crowd along the parade route.
- Adequate safety chains must be used on all towed units or displays. Adequate vision must be provided for drivers of self-contained units.
- No dangerous act, fireworks, weapons discharge, or sudden loud noise will be permitted near animals.
ANIMAL GROUPS: Please provide your own "Bucket Brigade" to pick up after your animals.
BAD WEATHER: Information will be broadcast as quickly as possible. Listen to TV stations 9&10 and 7&4.
Spaces will be available for all Youth Parade winners in the Saturday Grand Royal Parade. If you are a category winner on Friday, just check in at parade headquarters on Saturday.
All judging will take place prior to the Parade start. All entries must be in line by 1:45 pm to be eligible for judging.
Categories: float. Mini Float, Marching Unit, Horse Group, Costumed Walker, Pet Entry, Marching Band, Bicycle, Roller Blades, Roller Skates, Skate Boards, Area Groups.
